Why Our Loops Are Already Seamless (And When DIY Isn't Worth It)
Every loop in the gallery is already frame-matched and seam-tested. Here's what 'seamless' really takes, and why building your own is rarely worth it.
A 'seamless' loop is one where the viewer can't spot the restart. It looks like continuous footage. Every clip in the gallery is already built to that standard, so the fastest path is to download one. Start with loop-friendly footage
The footage matters more than the technique. Cyclical motion (waves, fire, particles, swaying trees) loops naturally. Linear motion (cars driving by, people walking) almost never does. The gallery is curated around cyclical, ambient motion for exactly this reason.
How the seam gets hidden
A crossfade overlaps the end of the clip with its own beginning so the restart dissolves out of view. In your own editor that means duplicating the clip, sliding the copy so its end overlaps the start by 1-2 seconds, and adding a dissolve across the overlap.
Frame matching for an invisible cut
Find a frame near the end that visually matches a frame near the beginning, then cut at those points. This works best when the camera is locked and motion is subtle. Every gallery loop is already frame-matched this way.
When DIY isn't worth it
