Animated stream overlays outsell static ones on Etsy because most streamers can't make them themselves. The product you sell is your own design work: a webcam frame, scene panels, and transitions built into a finished pack, with a licensed loop as one background layer. You use loops as backgrounds inside the products you create and sell. You may not resell or redistribute the raw loop files themselves.
Pack structure that converts
Single-item listings underperform. Themed overlay packs (e.g. 'Cozy Cafe Stream Pack', 'Cyberpunk Just Chatting Pack') that include a webcam frame, panels, and transitions convert at 3-4x the rate of singles. The animated background is one element inside each piece you design.
Mockups are the listing
Etsy buyers scroll on mobile. Your cover image needs to show the overlay in action, so use a 1700x1700 looping MP4 cover, not a static screenshot. Etsy supports video covers natively.
License and disclosure
Every purchase includes a full commercial license to use loops as backgrounds inside products you create and sell. It does not permit reselling or redistributing the raw loop files, bundled or otherwise. Your listing must sell a finished overlay design, not the loop file on its own.
