    About this scene

Most of the frame is deep shadow, rough dark wood walls with only faint texture showing. Light comes from one brass desk lamp angled over a worn wooden desk, picking out an open book and a plain mug with a hard golden pool. To the right, a tall multi-paned window is rimmed with frost and drifted snow along its lower edge, and a pale moon peeks in at the top right corner over a blue, snowy landscape.

Snowflakes fall past the glass in loose, scattered flakes, and a tall ribbon of steam rises from the mug and bends as it climbs. The strong contrast between the lit desk and the black left half gives the scene a theatrical, spotlit feel. It runs for 5 seconds at 24 fps and repeats without a visible jump, with no audio included. The empty dark area on the left is large enough for a webcam, chat or a block of white text.

    Questions

What moves in the winter desk loop?
Snow drifts down outside the frosted window, and steam rises from the mug on the desk. The lamp, book and room stay still.
Why is the left side of the frame so dark?
The only light is the desk lamp, so the far wall falls into shadow. That leaves a wide, clean area for a camera or text.
Is the moon visible through the window?
Partly. A pale moon sits at the very top right corner, half cut off by the window frame, above a snowy blue field.
