Vertical ice crystal cave with candlelight, animated loop

About this scene

The tall format suits this scene, with the arch running from top to bottom. Through it you look into a dark blue cave where one enormous faceted crystal hangs from the ceiling, glowing cyan, with icicles and smaller crystal spikes around it. Pale ice crystals crowd the left side of the arch. Bottom right, five cream candles of different heights burn on a snow-dusted stone ledge, and on the left a small wooden stool holds a clay cup.

Partway through the clip, a cloud of white smoke rises from the candles and curls upward past the crystal, then thins out and clears again before the end. Tiny flecks of frost glint in the blue air and the candle flames hold steady. The contrast between cold blue and warm candlelight is strongest at the bottom of the frame. It returns to its opening frame with no visible jump, so it can run on a phone lock screen for a long time.

Good for

Questions

Will clock and app icons cover the crystal on a phone?

The crystal sits in the upper middle, below where most lock screen clocks appear. The open blue cave floor in the lower centre is a good spot for widgets.

Does the smoke from the candles run the whole time?

No. It builds up partway through, drifts up past the crystal and fades away, so for part of the 10 seconds the cave is clear.

Where should captions go in a vertical video?

The dark cave interior behind the crystal is the plainest area. White captions read clearly there and stay clear of the candles at the bottom right.
