Aurora over a glass greenhouse reading nook, vertical background

About this scene

Half of this picture is sky. Wooden beams divide a pitched glass roof into panes, and through them the stars sit thick on deep blue, crossed by broad ribbons of teal and violet light. Lower down, tall windows show dark mountains and a line of pine trees. Inside, a floor lamp glows over a cream armchair draped with a knitted blanket, and a mug steams on a small round stool beside it. Hanging ferns, big potted leaves and a wooden cabinet with books, jars and pinned notes fill the right side.

The aurora is clearly alive here. Its bands bend and shift position between moments, and the colours brighten and fade in different panes of the roof. Down in the room, white steam curls up from the mug in a loose spiral. The lamp and plants stay still, which keeps the bottom third calm while the sky does the work.

Questions

How much of the aurora greenhouse is moving sky?

Roughly the top half. The aurora bands across the glass roof shift and change brightness through the clip, while the room below stays still apart from the steam.

Where would a vertical stream camera fit best?

The open floorboards in the lower centre are plain. A camera there sits just in front of the armchair and leaves the roof and aurora fully visible.

Is the lighting warm or cool overall?

Both. The sky and windows are cool blue and teal, while the floor lamp casts a warm amber pool over the armchair and wooden floor.
