Lakeside cabin fireplace with rain over a dark lake

About this scene

Two soft grey sofas face each other across a glass coffee table, angled toward a fireplace built from pale stone blocks. A thick wooden mantel runs above the fire, with a flat wall-mounted screen higher up on the chimney. Most of the right wall is one big window: beyond it lies a broad lake under heavy storm clouds, with dark mountains and a ridge of pines on the far shore. The fire's glow is reflected in the glass, and a narrow second window on the left shows more of the wet night.

Flames move inside the hearth and rain streaks fall across the lake, the two sources of motion pulling warm and cold against each other. Light glints on the rippled water, giving the lower half of the window a scattered sparkle. The loop is 5 seconds long at 24 fps, repeats with no visible jump and carries no audio. The sofas along the bottom edge make a natural floor for lower thirds or chat.

Good for

Questions

How heavy is the rain over the lake?

It is a steady shower of long, thin streaks against the dark clouds, visible across the whole picture window without turning into a downpour.

Does the fireplace flicker throughout the loop?

Yes. The flames in the stone hearth move for the full 5 seconds, and their glow also shows faintly as a reflection in the big window.

Is the screen above the fireplace blank?

It shows only a dim grey reflection, so you could place your own image or webcam over it in OBS Studio as a scene-within-a-scene.
